Valve cover cover

is there any purpose to the cover over the valve covers or is it just cosmetic

Mine came off as well. One day I will have to find matching bolts rather than having the two oddballs that held the tin on.

Mine is the same way! I have the 2 odd ball bolts on the back valve covers so that they are not as noticeable.
I think it looks better without the cover on it. There was a picture running around here somewhere that showed the vlave covers that have been flamed..It looks great!

I think black allen head bolts to match my afc cover will look good.
