I removed the vacuum pump and power steering pump so i can reseal the vacum pump. after removing the setup i found that the mounting tabs where the ps pump mounts to the VC pump was broken on the engine side? can anyone tell me why it was broken? did some one put it on wrong? was it to tight? Does it have a brace that should support it? has this happen before? I have no clue just a little upset that i have to buy a new pump now! and i dont want to make the same mistake!

They break when someone doesn't get the tabs lined up correctly and forces the PS and vacuum pumps together with the bolts.
Probably been broken since you've owned the truck.
www.fixinrams.com will fix you up without having to replace the pump.
