Turbo Plumbing

Turbo Plumbing
OK, let me preface this by saying my truck has been, by previous owners, UNBELIEVABELY Hillbilly engineered!
Here's the deal. One of the previous owners decided it would be a good idea to re-route the turbo plumbing as to bypass the intercooler. I've had the 'cooler checked and it's fine. So obviously I want to reconnect the intercooler. But I don't have the proper tubing to do it, as all the stock pieces were hacked up and bubble gum welded together to form the current 'system'. I noticed that some of the piping has about a 3/4" wide by maybe 1/8" deep depression near the end of them, I'm guessing to let the clamp/boot seal better.
Question is, will normal muffler pipe work on this, or will the boots just blow off? If so anyone got a source for the correct pieces?
Thanks again for the help!

It's just like tubing or fuel line but only larger. It will slip off allot easier without the barb. Their are a few guys on ebay that dismantle Dodge/Cummins and sell all kinds of misc. parts. I would contact them and I'll bet they have what you need, even if it is not listed.
Junkyards are another option, but if you go with custom pipe, I'm sure a muffler shop could put a slight flare on it, or maybe do it yourself with a little heat and a body hammer.
Personally, I would bite the bullet and get the used factory stuff so it would be a no brainer. KD

Thank You! and yes I AM a moron
Holy Monkey this place rocks!
Ask a dumb question and the two people that respond have the answers I'm looking for!
kd460, I have NO idea why I didn't consider looking at a junkyard for these pieces. I did find most of the tubing just today at a local yard.
and LanceD, Thank you too my man. Those pieces look as though they may complete my plumbing jigsaw puzzle!
Thanks again!
