Turbo leaking oil.

Today when I took the air box and tube out to clean them I noticed that the veins on my turbo were covered in oil, this is not normal is it? I assume there is a seal in there that has failed, are there any turbo rebuild kits that I can buy? Thanks for any help. Oh, there is also in/out play on the turbo shaft, is this normal?

Checked both trucks, and both turbos have forward and aft play -- you can pull the shaft in and out about 1/8 of an inch, and slightly more on the 96. Can they be rebuilt, or is it better to replace them? Thanks. (I know this is the 12-valve forum, but should I get an HX to replace the HY on the 01?)
