Question turbo and blowby are they related ???

hi

turbo guys , is there any way a leaky turbo seal can allow the turbo to put preasure to the oil return to preasurise the crankvase to cause exces blowby ???

Yes I do believe so! I know I had more blowby just after I replaced my turbo with a new one on my 24V. Within about day or 2 it went away. Thinking it took some time for everything to get seated properly. I know on a few of our older John Deeres we had excessive blow by just before the turbo needed to be going gone through.
Can also be caused by a vaccume leak or just a tired motor.

Unless you are running some very low oil pressure and very high boost, I wouldn't think the turbo would directly cause blowby. A newer turbo might since it can develop a little more boost and cause higher cylinder pressures, which will increase blowby of rings.
