Turbo

I've got 206,000 miles on my '95 2500. It runs great! I had the air intake hose off of the turbo a few weeks ago, and gave the blades a spin, and they spun about 2.5 revolutions and then stopped. I did it several times and I don't think it spun more than 3 revs. Does that mean the bearing shafts are coked up? I do have gauges, and I watch them religiously and almost never shut it down unless the egt is below 300.

I would not worry about that, but if you can make the wheel touch the housing then there is a problem. as far as spinning freely, as long as its will spin with little resistance your good to go.

Thanks. The guy who told me that I had a problem because it would only spin 2-3 revolutions wanted to sell me a new turbo!
