Trouble Code 22

I have a code that just wont clear. The code is 22,, cant remember what the Dodge dealer said it was, but they say its impossible to have that code as the 96 truck dont have the sensor. Now they clear all codes and then go back to check codes and its there again,, never even have to start the truck to get the code. Anyone know what i can do about it? Does the computer need a new flash or something?

Code 22

Book says 22 is coolant sensor voltage too high or too low. BUT that is for gasoline engined vehicles, going from what the book says our diesels dont show that code. Its possible the PCM is going bad

Yes that sounds what like they told me,,,, and thats what I was wondering as 3 different dealers have said there is no such thing in a diesel... well other than that code, the truck runs well, and all works,, I will maybe get them to reflash the computer and see what that will do.. it is an early 96 , was built in Nov 95, so that could be the problem to. Thanks
