transmission questions

i just got a 97 3/4 ton 4x4 cummins that as far as i can tell the transmission is shot in. its an auto. im planning on just rebuilding the transmission myself. its just gonna be my welding truck so im probly not gonna do too much performance wise unlike the truck in my sig. ive rebuilt a few transmissions before(gm) but not too familiar with the chrysler ones. was just wondering what would be a decent rebuild kit for it and what would be a good rebuild manual on it so i can have something to go off of(or if anyones wanting to sell a manual that they dont need anymore). any other tips/tricks to keep in mind would help too. any help is appreciated. thanks

Factory service manual has a good section on the tranny, you need the manual anyways.
$30 on CD here> http://www.genosgarage.com/products.asp?dept=17

I would call Dave Goerend for parts> (563) 778-2719

When I rebuilt mine I used the FSM and lots of help from online information. Had a re builder do the OD unit, cost less than buying the tools needed.

You're talking at least 50 pages to scan.
That's too much like work
