transmision not shifting right

transmision not shifting right
takes it a long time to go through gears 1-3- gets up to 55-60 before it will shift into overdrive- i have to let off accelerator for it to shift into overdrive

What year truck? You forgot the most important information.
Not knowing anything else, I would suggest you check to make sure your getting full throttle travel and if you have to let off to shift into OD I would say your TPS probably needs to be cleaned and adjusted.

Drivers side, towards front of pump. Will be 2 ( 6MM head I believe) screws holding it on as well as the support bracketry behind it. Harness unplugs.
I just changed mine, they are about 166 bucks online, 225 list at the dealer.
Took me probably 15 min. to change, but then it was my first time and I had a hard time juggling all the parts.
You might not get the same results though, mine was hunting in and out of OD/Lockup not taking too long to shift. Does it shift differently if you have light throttle position VS WOT?
