trans/torque conv. issues

It ended up being the two lines that run to and from the trans oil cooler. They were leaking just enough to not maintain pressure and were causing the trans not to engage. come to think of it there was a hole in the trans. cooler line. i cut the line at the hole and then clamped a piece of hose over the ends to create a flexible union. i guess i better check the whole cooling circuit also

good luck with this- just put a Suncoast 'verter in mine a while ago (twice...); ripped the t/c seal on the way in and LOVE my auto now. I used to hate it!

Used to hate autos........
Had Goerend build me a trans, now I love my auto.
I can drive anywhere without having to worry about shifting. No stalling no matter the hill size!
If I want to hold it in gear like a stick I can do that.
I can drop it in 1st and lock the TC and creep down a big hill.
I can effortlessly back up no matter what the trailer has on it. I can gentle pull forward without jerking my cargo around.
I never loose boost when I shift, can't say that about a stick.
And if you tailgate me, I'll lock the TC and mash the throttle....you'll back off.
A properly set up auto is a work of art.
