I've got a 96 12V auto. the red trans light has been on and off periodically since i've had it...~1 year or so.

Trans was serviced and is in good running condition. Light lights up for no just called reason. I've pulled ~ 5K with it, nothing major. Light doesn't light up.

now just chugging along, unloaded, it lights up.

fluid is good. trans shifts normally, no issues.

any ideas why its going on and off?
