Trans acting almost like it has a lock-up switch
Yesterday I pasted someone. i was moving from about 70 to 80 (its a 2 lane road so you have to pass on technically the wrong side of the road) a good 20 or 30 min later theres finally a stop light. So i stop it turns green and i begin to accelerate.
The issue: when going into 4th gear it feels like the trans is engaging 4th gear, overdrive, and locking the torque converter all at once so the shift is really hard unless you have it basically to the floor then you cant feel it as much. I can watch my rpm gauge basical snap from 2000 rpm to about 1200rpm when it does this. Im wondering if its a tps sensor issue (like it think its at WOT) or i have a transmission problem. Yes my trans. is stock but thats because i really dont launch it hard too often and it gives me incentive not to beat the crap out of it on the way to college.
