tranny will not shift into OD tach quits working HELP
I have a 95 with a jasper rebuilt trans. In cold weather it works fine shifts into OD, & locks up converter correctly. Now that the weather is getting warmer if you drive it for a while the tach quits working and with it goes OD and the converter lock up. The warmer the weather the shorter the distance till it malfunctions. I replaced the Crank position sensor but it didnt make any difference. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Thanks in advance

Ess- (crank position sensor) is #1 cause, then check for broken wires to the sensor from the ECM.
only 3 normal causes are the ESs, the wiring to it, or the ECM. The Ess is oft improperly called a crank position sensor - it is an engine speed sensor the ECM that the engine is running. Voltage, ground and signal are sent to the ESS through the ECM.
Make sure the ESS is properly gapped too - shadetree gap is a business card, but that is not really correct.
