I have a 1997 12 valve automatic. when the speed nears 40 under 1/2 thottle or above it shifts up and down to about 50 mph. if you going at below half thottle it shifts normally. Any ideas how to fix this? Is it a sensor?

Do a search on "TPS adjustment" or the like. (Throttle Position Sensor).

Thank you! I replaced that old TPS and it shifts great. It hasn't shifted this good in a couple of years.
