Tranny question

On my 96 12 v if i leave it sit for a couple of days and start it up in the morning , let it idle for a couple of minutes then put it in drive to take off it won't move, then if i put it in nuetral and rev it slightly for 1 min and put it in drive it takes off and runs like brand new the rest of the day? what's up? Tranny doesn't slip and sounds good !

The torque converter will drain if you let it sit for a while. You are filling it back up by reving it in neutral.

Hope that helps.

Mine was doing the same thing. I changed the oil and filter have had no problems since then. worth a try unless you have done it lately.

my 95 had the same problem it was supposedly due to a check valve that dodge later realized they needed to put in. so reving or letting idle in neutral to get the tranny to pump the fluid back through the system is what I used to do.

Mine does the same thing but here lately it might do it after driving it and shutting it off and then driving it again.
