Tranny noise???
I recently noticed my transmission making a squeal when it is cold or i am downshifting fr engine breaking or if i am running through the gears really hard. Could this be a throwout bearing or worse??? ???

Generally speaking, if you push in the clutch and you hear a squeal, it is likely the throwout bearing. The pitch should change as you change pressure on the bearing.

It could be a pilot bearing, but that would squeal more like a chirping bird as you held the clutch down and are stopped, and generally does not make enough noise to be heard when moving under power.
