Tranny is erratic, it's Driving me nuts

I posted a while back but didn't get much info so now that the problem is a little worse I'll try again. Every once in a while truck will not shift out of first until very high RPM. I can drive till I run out of gas in first and it wont shift unles I hammer on it and take it above 2500 rpm then I get a slam into 2nd, where it will do the same thing only maybe 2200 rpm. It did this all day yesterday, It makes it very difficult to drive through crowded town. Anyways I get in this morning to go to work and it is like nothing was ever wrong it drove perfect. It will probably drive perfect for a week or so and then do it again. I could really use some direction here I really dont want to have to take it to a shop. thanks in advance.forgot to mention tranny was rebuilt at 65000 new valve body, dunrite converter steel planetary gear different clutches.

For where you are at I suggest you call Bill or Stephan K. and see what they say. Another one to call would be Dave Goerends.

Do you change your fluid/filter sounds like something is gummed up or you have crap floating around in there.

My is doing the same thing... I have let off the gas pedal or just tapped the pedal a few time's as the rpm approaches about 1700 and it will shift just fine. try that a few times and let me know if it helps. Your right my is erratic also, but always does it when cold.

I have also found that once the tranny is warmed up, ,I have to play less with the gas pedal..

I Hope someone out there has an answer for the both of us.
