Tranny Downshift When Coming to a Stop

I have the truck in my sig. A little background info. I had a Goerend triple-disk converter put in my truck about two years ago. I had the tranny shop to basically put in a Transgo kit in it while they had the valve body out. And, the tranny holds just fine. I can pull anything I want with the power I have and it has never slipped at all. But, when I got it back I did not like the way it shifted. It shifted too early just as it had always done. So, I did some research on this site and I called Dave Goerend to pick his brain and got the answers I was looking for. And, I have finally got the tranny shifting like I want it. Dave sent me new 1-2 and 2-3 shift springs and I set the TV cable according to the Chrysler FSM. And, I love the way it shifts now. On just a normal take-off it will shift into 2nd at around 1650-1700 rpms and into 3rd and overdrive at about the same rpms. My only problem is that when I am coming to a stop and get to about 18 mph the tranny will sometimes downshift and it seems kind of violent to me. Sometimes it will downshift and you can hear a clicking noise. It only does that when the tranny fluid is around 150+ degrees. I know the line pressure is turned up. I read somewhere about a resistor that can be spliced into a line. Would that help? Thanks.

Assuming tps voltage was checked when this fault is present ?

Also mabye play with backing off the TV cable adjustment to see if it changes anything.

Did the FSM state to make sure tv cable actuation begins as soon as throttle movement occurs? In other words, no slack?

Yes. The FSM says, "Proper adjustment allows simultaneious movement without causing the transmission throttle lever to move ahead of, or lage behind the throttle body lever."

I do know the TPS is a little bit high. That is by design to get the overdrive to come in later than 20 mph. This has me stumped because it does not do it all the time. It almost never does this annoying downshift when the tranny fluid is below roughly 140* (guage sender in the pan not the cooler line). I have set the TV cable everywhere from full slack to having the tranny cam move ahead of the throttle lever. It doesn't seem to matter. When it does it, 2nd gear is the only gear affected. Going into 1st is smooth as silk. Is there something that would affect 2nd gear that does not affect the rest of the gears?

Update

OK, I don't think temp has anything to do with this issue. But, it seems to do this when the O/D is locked out. I usually lock out the O/D when I am in town or towing and that is when I noticed it. I went out this morning and deliberately tried to see if it made a difference with O/D on or off. And, it did. With O/D off it will reall jerk into second gear at about 18-25 mph. With O/D on it doesn't do it. Any suggestions?

Maybe a dumb question but it's not shifting while still having the converter locked up is it?

I don't think so. This is strange. I am not understanding why this happens when the O/D is locked out and not when it is not locked out. According to the FSM, the "O/D off" does not affect the governor curve. But, that's kinda what it is acting like. With the O/D it takes 2nd hard at about 23-24 mph and this is with the brakes applied, which unlocks the converter. If the O/D is not locked out, sometimes I can feel a slight bump at around 15 mph as it goes into 2nd. Goerend Transmission said that my Sonnax 2nd gear "Super Servo" would cause that slight bump. They said that was perfectly normal. But, they really did not have any reason on the O/D lockout. They did say that it probably would not hurt anything but it still is about to drive me crazy. I may just have to live with it!
