Traction bars?

Ok I have some bad wheel hop on my truck. The problem is I cant seem to find a traction bar to fit it. Besides the junk in the signature I have (soon to be installed) a BDS 2" all around lift. In the rear I have a sway bar, helper leafs and the add-a-leaf for the extra 2"... apperntly its tough to find traction bars that work with sway bars and helper leafs. Who knows what the add-a-leaf does to the equasion. If anyone can point me inthe right direction I would appricate it.

Re:Traction bars?

There is a guy on the TDR that sells a traction arm kit. Its more like a trailing arm kit for the 2nd gen trucks. Steve St. Laurent is the guy. You could try a search on the TDR for the setup, I just can't recall what it was called.

Basically its a bar setup that hooks to a bracket on the top of the leaf spring pack on the diff, then a bar that goes up to a bracked just ahead of the leaf spring shackle on the front. There were claims of improved ride, however without the proper stiffening, there were problems with cracked frames around the mounting structure.

Steve is also on the NWBOMBers page and maybe they could also help you out.

J-eh

Re:Traction bars?

get a new spring to get rid of the factory blocks and you add a leaf and it should help your wheel hop out.
lunchbox
