Not really a pain, but you need to be able to juggle 3 parts at once, took probably all of 10 min. the first time, could do it in much less the next I think. 6 MM socket if IIRC.
My local parts stores were all higher then list at the dealership, so I found it online for 166 and then beat up my buddy the dealer, got it for 155.
The part number for my 97 is 04874412 if that is any help.

I had to replace these cheap plastic TPS's bout evey 50000 miles until I took one apart and found out how to clean them.....now I've been running the same one almost 2 years and only needed to reclean it once

Oh BTW, I did replace mine once. Cheapest place was at the dealer buying it through work.

Oh yeah, for those who have done it. How much did you enlarge the holes on the TPS? 5/16"?

I used a small round file and slotted the holes a bit.
