timing question I think?

I advanced my timing to 18* on my truck today and it runs good at idle just if you rev it up it seems to miss and I get white smoke (Raw Fuel) when I rap the throttle. It seems to be ok on the road but I think I lost power. it was at the stock timing before. Could I have the timing too advanced?

Thanks
Chris

figured it out checked the timing and it slipped back to under 10*.... I reset it and cleaned the crap out of the shaft and torqued it to 170flb this time. screw that 144flb runs great now.

thanks
