Timing Kit

Re:Timing Kit
Snap On carries the Blue Point kit for 140.00, the kit includes the indicator, indicator holder, delivery valve wrench and the gear puller. You can do it fine without the barring tool. "SP500 Timing Set, Diesel" is their part number and description. I like mine.

Where did you find it for $140.00? Snap-On lists the kit at $204.00. I already have a barring tool.

What he said !!
I already have a barring tool also and mine cost me $204.
Mac's has a barring tool in it but I think something else was left out if I remember right.
Maybe that is thier price less the barring tool ?

Re:Timing Kit
Thanks for all the tips. I found the # for the Miller kit in a TSB but can't find out where to buy it and how much. Seems I read somewhere that someone just used a magnetic base and a dial gauge and a piece of plastic tubing from an aeresol can. Anybody done this or heard of it?
I've got Snap-On hand tools. Can't beat them. It's just hard spending the cash on the kit that I might use once or twice.
