Timing help in the Nashville, TN area???

Looking for someone who can help me out with getting my truck timing set up 16.5* or so in the Nashville, TN area. A kind person with the tools and willingness to show me what to do is best, but if I can get it done at a shop for a reasonable price that works too. Anyone able to help me out? Thanks

I am about 4 hours east of Nashville and have found a shop that would do it 150 bucks. The name of the shop is Don's Tractor Repair in Rogersville. He is going to do mine in a couple of weeks. This may be to far for you to drive but this guy is pretty good and he will let you help I would assume.

The only place I would take mine after Garmon Diesel is City Diesel in Knoxville or Decatur, Alabama.

..Preston..

If you're not O-ringed, 16.5 will be too much for a stock headgasket...it will pop.
15.5 is max

Althought not much difference I did run 16* of timing on a stock headgasket for almost 70K miles. I ran that truck HARD too! #10 plate, 3K GSK, first 300M injectors then PDR370's, stock exhaust 1/2 back to 4" & dual 5" stacks, and oh yeah...a stock turbo!

Although probably a little far to drive, I have the tools, plenty of room, and welcome anyone who wishes to make the trip

Only drawback, I'm in Northern AR. But............Have 90 acres not gar from Greers Ferry lake, so it mught make a great weekend trip.

timing

Kolb Diesel in Evansville, IN (2.5 hours from Nashville) did my timing to 15* for $200. They have been in business for decades and I've had really good service from them. I also had them do the kill on the KDP while it was there. They told me that the pin was sticking out almost 1/4 inch. I guess that is better than if I would have waited a bit more.

Well I've kept an eye on this thread to see if anyone would be able to assist you, so now I'm gonna throw out a name to save you some hassel.

Dixie Diesel which I "think" is close to Murfresborro does it for like $75 which is very decently priced. I can't remember exactly where they are but they are relatively close. I'll call a buddy of mine in the morning and find out exactly where they are.
