Most of us do the same. Just the weight of my foot does it for me, and hold it there to idle at 1000 for a minute.

Installed the new Power Master starter and........ Starts like a NEW truck...!! Less than 1/2 second to start with no pedal. The Power Master starter is worth every penny...... The Power Master even had upgraded starter contacts..

So if anyone needs some new starter contacts for their starter I sell you the ones I just bought from Larry B's website....

Thanks for the help guys......

The BRUSHES on your starter were worn. This will make it seem like your battery is lacking power. Replacement brushes should be under $20 at any auto electric shop and are easily replaced. KD

I did 2/0 (2 ot) cable to go between my batteries and replaced all of my battery conacts thinking that is what I was loosing power from while trying to start, that was part of it but my starter had some screws missing and my oil leaks were getting in the starter and just killed it. My brand new commercial batteries and the new cables and the new starter are just great now in the cold mornings (25*F is the coldest so far) hope it helps.

And remember to heat shrink wrap all of your wires... It will save you from having to do it again.
