the swap is complete!!!

Well, I finished her today. Got my shafts back from the shop and installed them. that turbo sure sounds good when going through the gears If I had to do it again, I would make sure I had every piece or part on hand when beginning the swap. That would have saved at least a week.

if any are thinking of doing the swap, I highly recommend it. nothing like shifting your own gears

now lets pull something

If you can, list all the parts you needed in the order you needed them.

Like this...

1. a NV4500 tranny.

2.brake pedal kit.

Not to sound lazt but Pete97 has a complete list. very informative too. some of the prices have changed but I found if you buy your new parts from Dodgeparts.com you'll save money! If you pm Pete I'm sure he'll gladly offer the list to you.

the swap shouldn't cost more than 2500 if u plan right and buy some used and some new. Mine's gonna be alittle more because I bought a new clutch and master/slave, because the one's that came in the conversion I bought were bad. So i'd buy all the parts individually if I bought everything again. Mine's gonna be about 2700 because of the new clutch. But then I can sell the auto setup and recoupe a good amount.

Good deal Lewis, I bet ur happy u got it done. Hows the power to the ground compared to the auto?

not sure, I just bought a couple small parts from them, and they arrived right away and were good quality. Valair has great deals on clutches (thanks for the heads up lewis lol), $225 for a 350hp 700tq rated clutch, and he might throw in the 3200# disc which is rated at 450hp, and Dave is really helpful and they have a great tech support.

I didnt care for Quad 4x4. He came across as if you're not buying i'm not giving info. On the other hand, valair, and south bend clutch were good people, especially Valair. If I can think of the little things that'll kill you and your time I'll post them.

One thing is, pull the top cover and rear cover on the tranny and reseal them, I didnt and they both leak but it's a 5 spedd:

Good job Lews. Hopefully you've found your "Grail" with the 5 speed.

How does the power seem compared to the previous AT?

I love it. My egts are down 25-50 degrees and I shift when I want to. it still isnt a rocket ship but with a used unknown tranny I'm not going to beat on it. Besides, I like to slowly run through the gears

My trip to get the parts truck nearly killed the auto tranny.

I'm deep in the swap now. I was definently a grease monkey by the end of the day, lol. Had so much oil on me it took 15 minutes with that orange hand cleaner to get somewhat clean, lol. I can't wait to get to where u are. should have the 5spd in tomorrow.
