Are Stock Head Bolts reusable ?

 

Seems to be a personal opinion.
If they were mine I'd only reuse them once.
Cheap insurance compared to pulling the head one more time.

 

Yes, just check them with a stretch guage that should come with your head gasket to make sure they are in spec.

 

I know from my days with gasser Ford Small blocks that ARP makes strong head bolts that are reusable. I can't remember what the ratings were on them.

Does ARP (or anyone else) make these type of head bolts ??

How much stronger are studs ??
