Starting Problem Questions
I just purchased my 94 3500 in January. It has 115,000 miles. I have been impressed on how well it started through the winter and this Spring especially compared to the Powerstrokes. For the last couple of weeks though it has been hard starting after sitting for awhile. Normally overnight. It cranks longer and doesn't start crisply like it normally does. I put new batteries in it ealier this year and it seems to be cranking over well. I am wondering about the grid heaters. The wait to start light goes out at the same time the other lights do. I have tried leaving the key in that position after the light goes out, but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas or places to look to find the problem? It always makes me smile when I hit the key and it fires right up I want to get that back.
Thanks
Steve

Good tip... If you can start it sooner after pumping the lift pump manually, then you need to replace the rubber fuel lines between the engine and steel frame lines.
Search fuel return line or fuel lines.. That should help out alot..
