put some grease on the pivot where the master cylinider rod connects to the pedal. Mine had a real annoying squeak, I put some high temp grease (all i had at the time) and havent had the squeak come back for months. All you do is take the little clip that secures the master cylinder rod to the pedal, pull it off put grease inside it, and ur good to go.

I had a 99 5 speed that did the same thing. The clutch pedal pivoted on a steel rod that had a plastic bushing it rode in. The squeak was the rod rubbing on the plastic bushing. I don't think there was anything there for lube, but I greased it up good and the squeek went away.

I agree with manureman.

Through the process of elimination, I sprayed lubricant where the master cylinder rod attaches to the clutch pedal, then where the rod goes through the electronic module that prevents engine starting w/o clutch depressed, and sure enough, it was the last thing I tried.......where the clutch pedal pivots. Just a shot of multipurpose lube and it quit immediately. Mine would only squeak when it was cold. Once the truck was warmed up it would quit squeaking. Did the same thing last year but I had forgot what I had to spray to make it stop.

I am sure greasing it up would last longer than spray lube.
