So many problems w/brakes where to start?

I've started so many threads about my really messed up brakes and still haven't fixed the problem. Quick summary, installed new cross drilled rotors, ceramic pads, new rear brake cylinders 1ton and... only front brakes work but not really. feels like no power braking and only the driverside front seems to work and thats only 15%. the rear brakes get no fluid at all! the brake proportioning valve is locked giving fluid only to the front. vacuum is 28lbs. Brake light is on and abs light is on. First i'd like to reset the rear proportioning valve. i have very little knowledge about the abs system and i don't remember it ever working. i come to you my fellow dtr readers asking for sound advice.

You arent the only one. My brakes suck too. I have put new wheel cylinders and pads in the rear, new pads on the front, a new master cylinder, and bled the lines with no real luck in getting my brakes to work good. Oh well. Maybe one day ill get em figured out

I think he's saying his breaks arnt really working at all not just working poorly.

If the abs light is on I think that means you might have air in the system after all the changes? I know the rear abs never actually works but the light will stay on after you change stuff around if you dont properly bleed the lines.

Also did you flush all the old fluid for new? old fluid might have alot of water in it now and not be very effective.

cross drilled roters just look nice and are weaker. They dont really improve breaking. Slotted does a little. I also dont think ceramic pads work well. I've had the best luck with hawk sevear duty pads. They stop the truck about 50-100% better then the sevear duty ceramics. the hawks im pretty sure are a semi metallic.

I have the chevy 1ton cylinders as well. They work good but you have to keep your shoes adjusted. You can also try bypassing the proportioning valve.
