Slowwww starter crank

For about a week or so now, the truck has been really slow to crank over.
I have to give the truck throttle to get it to start because it cranks SOO slow.

I have 211k.

Batteries & alternator are good.

Should I just replace the starter?

Thanks in advance
Garrett

"Batteries plus" load testing on each individual battery.

Mine did the same thing awhile back as did my dads. I would make a thousand to one bet its the starter. Replace it you should be fine.

Starter. You will fry it for good if you keep cranking it as it is now, if its not already totally toast.
BTW, mine did this same thing, then one day a long way from home it just quit altogether. Its already warned you, so change it asap.

It might be as simple as bad brushes. I think my price was $3 each.

Your starter contacts are gone. You can replace the contacts and solve the problem for alot less $$. See my pics.

If the windings are not damaged from low voltage.

Gotta drive around and mess around etc.. Not sure who can rebuild it around here but maybe I could have it done and sell it, or keep it for a spare.
I got mine for $117 shipped.. It'll be here tomorrow. I gotta get it up and running ASAP, dont want to be stranded!

Garrett, I rebuilt my starter with the oversized contacts and new plunger from Fosters and it took longer to get the starter out, then it was to rebuild it. cost like 25 clams.....
