Slow crank...Fixed!!
Yup, my starter failed. I had Larry's contacts and that's the problem. Three months ago a buddy and I dropped the starter and added the upgrades. PROBLEM. Don't forget to tighten the crap outta the three screws that hold the plunger on and the contacts inside. Two of the screws had fallen out and the third was on it's way out!! Those poor contacts were being attacked from the side. They were pretty beat-up. Being used and used really ate up the brushes too. I said screw it, and bought another starter.
Moral of the story: If you are going to take something apart...make sure that YOU ARE THE ONE....that puts it back together!
Symptoms were like the idle was set too low. The third week....the poor starter would barely turn over...Gee, I wonder why??
