Ok
the silencer ring is that tin lookin thing in the turbo itself. To get to it, simply remove your filter cover completely with the hose that connects to the turbo, You will see a little clamp holdin the actual tin ring infront of the turbo, with a pair of good screwdrivers and some persuasion you will be able to pop out the clamp and pull the ring out.. OR if you are impatient, you can rip out the tin ring with some vice grips as i had to once, the turbo somehow got rusty vanes even on the cold side, and the clamp was rusted in..
Now that you have the airbox cover off, the rest is simple, you simply look towards the passenger side fender and just rip out the sleeve that connects the airbox to the passenger side fender and ur good to go....
Puter back together and enjoy ur newfound whistle..

One more question while we are in this area.Is there any way to modify the stock air box for more aire flow?I should have spent the money on an aftermarket setup instead of just buying the K&n filter...Thanks for the info.....

I just took the ring out from in front of the turbo and removed the sleave and the sound is much better under boost,I just love forced induction.Hope I won't need the ring in the future I got mangled in the process.....
