In Search of Driveshaft, 95 reg cab long bed 4x4.
Turns out to be a really big pain in the butt to find a rear driveshaft for this 95 I have. The previous owner somehow wore though the cup on the u-joint and wore into the actual yoke hole and I don't think it has enough support to just replace the joint.
Found one through car-part.com within driving distance and when I went there to match it up it was about 1.25" longer than mine. The guy at the junk yard said that he didn't think that would work because it was too much and would cause binding in the transfer case when the suspension flexed. I do not know if this is true or not.
So, I'm now on the hunt for a driveshaft, if anyone has one, or knows any place I can look.
Truck is 1995 standard cab, 135" wheel base, long bed, 47RH, 241DHD, D70, 10 bolt cover (car-part.com says this makes a difference).
Driveshaft is a one piece and the solid section is 51 1/8" between yoke centers.
Thanks,
Chris

Why not just have a new one made? There has to be a driveline shop somewhere close to you.
Found a thread that recommended shops close to you.

That might be what I have to do, have the yoke replaced. I was trying to pick up a used one since that would be cheaper, most of the time.
Thanks,
Chris
