SPLnut, is there any special procedure for cracking the injector lines, havent done it before so im kind of nervous, pump pressure is like 17,XXX psi- looking in the service manual. Whats your procedure you follow?

 

3/4 or 19mm wrench and start at number 1 injector while its running and just crack it open enough (most times 1/4 to 1/2 turn is plenty) to get fuel and a noticeable drop in rpm then re tighten....then go to the next etc etc...Also maybe easier if you break them loose before starting that way your not fighting to break them loose with the motor running...Loose meaning takes less pressure on the wrench to open it but not loose as finger tight

Did you ever diagnose the problem? I know this post is old, but my truck recently did the same thing. White smoke, rough and lopey idle. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
