I have a 94 cummins 5.9L and was driving down the highway the other day and suddently the engine started running rough like it was missing. My throttle pedal also started sticking at the same time, feeling firmer when pressed and not letting up until I hit the brakes. It ran rough at idle (again seemed like a miss) and finally stalled out and didn't start again. I let it sit for a day and then tried again, started well enough, ran a little rough until it warmed up, but then when I stepped on the throttle it smoked blue which it never has before. The sticking throttle also seems to have disappeared. I checked the oil and it has gone down some but it's not leaking on the ground. Any idea as to what would cause this?

 

Warped delivery valve bores.
You need a new or rebuilt injection pump.
Seems to be a common problem with '94-'95 injection pumps.
