Removed with sawzall, replaced with straight pipe. Used two 4"-4" couplings and 4 clamps. May need to get it welded. the muffler side was to big to go into the coupler. bent the tabs out and hammered it on. Saved cat for possible later use for re-install
test drive:
No increase in loudness at all
slightly hollow tone - sounds good
Big increase in smoke
moderate increase in turbo spool-up and acceleration (perhaps psychological)
The biggest increase of all was me smiling like fool
dont know about EGT benifits as of now

undecided if I would recomend doing it. Its not that much work if you want to try it though, so why not?
