Reliable place to get my timing advanced?

I am looking into getting my timing advanced to 15.5* or 16* on my 97, I would like buy the snap-on kit and do it myself, Unless anyone knows of a good fair priced place to get it advanced in either Fargo, ND or in the Twin cities in MN?

Thanks, Tim.

Dyno run before & after the timing bump?

Josh Peters is hosting a TDR DTR working get together in Ramsey on September 18th
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...threadid=75179

Not sure sure if anyone is bringing a timing set that day.

I hope to be there and governor springs is my specialty.

Not anymore, holy cats this truck moves now!!!, It spikes the EGT's a bit faster, but no big deal. WOW does it have power now, it really moves. It feels like its twice as fast with the 3k gsk and gov. arm adjustment. It never would snap the tires loose before, but it breaks them loose in 2nd and even a little bit in 3rd now!

John, Thanks for all your help on Sunday, I can't thank you guys enough, Thanks, Tim.

Tim;
I was the second vehicle behind you leaving Alex last night. I stayed with you until the construction and wished I would have blasted past that blue car, too. The driver would creep up to 50 mph and then drop to 40-45 when meeting the oncoming traffic.

I was embarrassed it took that long and glad you stuck with it. Losing gaskets doesn't help along with a couple of walks over to Holiday to feed the bottomless pit. I was out of my zone without my tools including my familiar step stool and carpet pad for the battery and fender.

Your mileage might be a bit down for the next few tanks of fuel until you fix that RFG issue....

ridofpwrstroke;
I probably didn't see your truck. I haven't been to Mike's shop since June, and we were focused on getting ready for truck & tractor pulling season.

John;
Ya, it gets old following people that can't maintain a consistent speed.
I couldn't be happier with the GSK kit, and so far I haven't noticed any leaks in the top of the fuel filter lines so all is well.
I still can't get over the fact that it will break the tires loose in 3rd on dry pavement ; Now I really understand the bombing bug, I am definately addicted.

But mileage will be down until the RFG is fixed?
What does RFG stand for?

That thing Josh & I pointed at when you asked if GSK would lower your fuel mileage.....

Tim installed a Banks plate.
I installed 3k GSK and adjusted the governor lever. It has a harsh de-fuel slightly off idle, but drops into the deep fuel profile to catch up quickly... very quickly.

John; ya it will be awhile until I get used to the truck again and start driving it nice.

TRCM;
All we did is put the 3k gsk kit in, and adjusted the gov. arm which was a ways off. I might be overstating its power, but its a whole new truck now with the 3k gsk in it. It would never break the tires loose on dry tar, but if I hammer it off the line it will break them loose in second and start spinning them when I hit third.
