rebuilt injectors slight stumble when starting

My 95 12V has 440,000 miles and I just had my injectors rebuilt for the 1st time because of bad mpg. I haven't had a chance to test the mileage but now when starting it seems to stumble for a second at really low rpm and then run perfect, however, when backing up when I put it into D from reverse it almost dies. Could my idle be low now that my injectors are spraying correctly or is there something else going on like slipped timing? If I give it the slightest amount of pedal it starts up perfect. Any help would be great.

What RPM are you idling at in Drive with the A/C compressor on when the engine is warm?

My needle is in the middle of the 2 white lines about 2 needle widths below the top line I think its around 600. In N the top of the needle is just barely under the 2nd white line. Could slipped timing cause low idle and low mileage? Posted pics first pic is in Drive with AC on second one is in Neutral with AC on.

Idle is too low. Adjust it according to the info in the link above in Infidels post and let us know if that solves your problem.

Adjusted the idle up to where it should be and it starts like a champ and no more issues. Thanks for the help!

I am curious, where did you get your injectors rebuilt and what did it cost?
Also, notice any mpg difference?
Thanks

Carl

There was a John deere dealership next to the dodge dealership in new Richmond WI that rebuilds a lot of bosch injectors and they did them for me. It was only $160 because only 1 needed a new tip with all new tips it would of been 600 which is still better than 1200 for new ones!! Yes I noticed a big mpg difference about 3 or 4 and it is smoking A LOT less but still enough for my liking!

injectors

wow, $160 you got a smoking deal. thats crazy. my 12er has pretty much the same milage, and mine is on stock sticks too. I picked up a barely used set of 375's for about $200, and I thought I was doing good . I was going to leave the injectors alone, but I developed a leak at the top of number 4, and its leaking like a sieve. I already changed the lines awhile back, so hopefully after the new sticks, I will finally be done rust-proofing the bottom of my truck

by the way, good to see some more cheese-heads on the site. I have lived most of my life near Oshkosh, but I'm working out west for awhile now

$1200 for new ones??? You could get 140Hp DDP Stage 4 injectors for that! A sweet set of stage 1's would be half that.
