really strong magnet on trans pan???
I have a couple of strong magnets about 1/2"x1" that I thought I would put on my trans pan and oil pan of oil filter, these thinngs take HE-MAN to pull apart. my question is will the magnet interfere
with the Electronics of the tranny? I put one on my oil filter to try it any input? I dont want to freak my trans out by putting these on.
thanks,
Mike

magnet
I have a 95 that has a magnet off a cb base and it has been on the pan for 3 years of so. When I pulled the pan off to service the transmission there was a small ring of metal in the bottom on the pan. No probems that I can tell from using the magnet. Jimk

Be careful the magnet isn't too strong or it might pick up metal objects off the road. Real bummer when you start dragging manhole covers around.
I don't have one on my tranny pan since it's aluminum but stick one to my oil filter. Not sure it does much but it gives me a place to store the magnet.
