racing in 4 wheel drive

just curious how fast u guys would recommend driving in 4 wheel drive... for racing purposes. also what boost would u recommend launching at. i tryed launching at 10psi n nothing broke yet.

How fast? Clear to the end of the track. I don't take mine out until after the finish line. I've tried moving the lever out of 4x4 after the 1-2 shift, but most of the time it won't actually come out until I lift after the finish line.

How much boost on launch? Increase until you break the input shaft, and then back off a couple of psi... With stock input shafts it's hard to tell how much they will hold. Most of the time 10psi is fine. However if you ever get wheel hop on the launch, 10psi maybe to much... When bracket racing I leave with 15psi, depending on track conditions.

thanks a lot! well im gonna race a couple of strokers tonight so well c if 15psi wont break my input shaft.

lol the one time i drag raced mine, i really wanted to see what it could do, so i left at 35 PSI!
