Question about 2nd gen 12 valve pickup

The fuel system of the 2nd gen is way better and also better at making power...why would you want to do that?
If it's just the engine block and head you want to use, but use the P7100 pump; then you'd have to change the timing case, cam, lift pump, injectors, and the inj pump and lines, filter assy.

The only reason i would do it is I have a 1st gen with the body going to hell and the reverse is out of the trani but the engine runs great and one of my friends has a 96 with no engine and i am thinking about getting it not sure yet i mite just part out the 93.

If you like the performance of the 1st gen engine then go for it. While the 2nd gen with the p7100 pump and lift pump can produce more power with cheap mods, the 1st gen engine is still great and I wouldn't hesitate to install it in your application.
