Problems starting

I have been having some troubles starting my truck. Batteries are new seems to me that it could be the starter? Does the 98.5 have problems with the starters or am I looking in the wrong direction? Thanks for the help.

We need more info on what its doing when you try and start it as your to vague with whats happening.

24v trucks that have hard starting issues have more possibilities of problems then the 12v trucks do,it could be a mulitude of issues.....Andy

Sorry for being so vague. When starting the truck which is a 98.5 12 valve 3500 DRW sometimes it will start, no problem. Other times all you hear is a click sound, the truck does not try to turnover at all, but it has plenty of power for lights and such. This is why I was thinking it is the starter; however, with this being my first diesel truck I am not real sure what it is. Hope this information is helpful and thanks for the help.
