hey guys, i posted this on cumminsforum and figured id try here too.

i have a 1990 5 speed ram, with 300k on it. it has the basics like denny t pin, 4" exhaust, intake, 2nd gen intercooler, 2nd gen lift pump, he351cw, M&H timing spacer, and stock pump timing. it started running rough and i figured the injectors needed refreshed anyway, so i bought a industrial injection pump and 5x.014 injectors.

put them on, and the truck ran GREAT for a week. stock pump settings and i was running 35psi and i was happy. then i noticed its pushing antifreeze out past the clamps on the radiator and engine, so i replaced the cap as a cheap stab in the dark. it didnt change, even after tightening the clamps. then i kinda thought the engine rattled more than usual, like cold powerstroke rattle almost. it then only made 20psi and when you hold it flat out in 4th or 5th, it bucks.

i have a fuel pressure gauge thats going in tomorrow as a check, and im gonna idle is without a radiator cap to see if it bubbles, but am i looking at a head gasket replacement or does it seem like more? im so lost with this truck, $1,500 later and it now has different issues and it makes me not real happy. thanks!

 

Sounds like headgasket, take this over to the 1st gen board.
