problems

My 96 dog is not turning off. starts good but when you turn the key it keeps running . my truck is a dodge 3500 flatbed dump 12vturbodiesel. it has 95000 miles on it .thanks

maybe the fuel solenoid ?? just a thought

DEFINATELY the fuel shut off solenoid. Pull the plunger down to shut it off, for a temporary fix. For a permanant fix trace all the wires and try to determine which wire is not recieving proper voltage or which is shorted out. May also be out of adjustment. The Fuel shut off solenoid is a VERY common problem with the 12 valvers so dont think your all alone on this. If youll just take it slow you will be able to get it licked.

Start with cleaning the fuel solenoid,then the replace the relay on the firewall it is the one near the brake booster. www.fostertruck.com less than $20. Goodluck, Rick

Thanks for the help . i have been turning the truck off by stalling in 5gear . thanks for the link also. the dealer said it would be about 600.00 to fix HA' .
