problem with pump install

I replace the inj pump and injectors this weekend and did the KDP at the same time . I installed a GSK before the install and slid the plate and afc ahead a little ways. My timing is set to 17*. It started and idles fine but when I put the pedal more than half way down in neutral it smokes alot of blue and seems like it misses . Part throttle and it revs up to 3000 no prob with little smoke. I slid the afc housing back and i think it made it a difference, but after 20 hours of work on the truck this weekend , I might be mistaken. I haven't drove it down the highway yet, just 1 block home from the shop.

There may be disagreements on this, but in general it's best to only make one change at a time, dial it in, and then make the next change as needed. When you make 5 or 6 major changes all at once it's pretty easy to lose track of what's going on. Sometimes you have to go back and make so many changes to dial in those multiple changes that no real time was saved at all. I know that doesn't help you much right now though. I learned the hard way several times before it really sunk in, and I'll probably goof again in the future.....
