Pricing for a 98 w/33,000 miles?
Hey fellas, my longtime neighbor might want to get rid of his 98 Larame 4x4 Supercab with only 33,000 on the dial>the truck really is in showroom condition.
*This is the same neighbor I've always helped with his truck in the past...brakes,oil changes, new lift and IP pump etc.
What's a good number for such a low mileage (mint) Dodge Diesel?
Thanks for any feedback.

i know alot of people who would be willing to pay pretty big $$ for that rig. manual or auto? I am assuming it s a 12v because this is the 12v drivetrain forum. I paid 14K for mine and considered that a good deal with 133,000.

I just bought a '98 12v 2500 on ebay a few hours ago. Auto, 3.54 gears, quad cab, 166k, 305 tires, Banks kit with gages, in near mint condition. I haven't even seen the truck in person yet and I paid $15k for it. I paid a healthy premium to get it but the 12v engine in the '98 body will always be somewhat of a rarity which should help with resale value in the future (IF I were to ever consider selling it).

i paid 15k for my 97 with 56k miles on it in january. the dealer didnt know what he had, and i didnt really know what i was buying until after i bought it and took it to the local chapter garage and they suprised to see a 12 valver. now a few months later, i am educated and i understand why these trucks are so popular... no price tag on my truck, im drivin it til everything falls off then im puttin the motor in my next vehicle.

Yes, as some may recall the very same Truck mentioned above. I always did the upkeep on the Truck for my life long neighbor. The Truck is used very little if at all. I'n not really all that interested in it because it's (RED)... and the current price of Diesel Fuel is .80 cents higher then regular grade gas. I owe a 7.3 F250 I'm looking to sell because it's killing me at the pump
PS anyway I can determine what the axle ratio is...?

As some people here know because I came here for advice looking to (help) my neighbor....at 33,000 miles his lift pump started to act up >apparently a known problem with this year Engine and Lift Pump.
I installed a new lift pump for him but didn't know the low fuel pressure had already done damage to the IP. We towed it to Cummins for the repair, paid the $$$ and then the battle with DC started. By funny wording in the warranty book the truck was out of warranty or so we were led to belive. I fought the battle for him and Dodge finally refunded the money $$$ he paid Cummins to replace the IP.
He's now thinking about another new Truck...for all I've done for him during my life (we almost have a father/son relationship) I feel he wants to give me a deal on it (he said $10K last night) but I honestly don't know if I want it. I know he stated he would leave it to me in his Will but I hope he lives forever!

There were no lift pump problems on the 12V's.
If the truck is in showroom condition - why wouldnt you want it?
