Power Mirrors
#2
it has been done... i have the 02 tow mirrors on my 98 theyre just like the 3rd gen except they have a 2nd base (wuch fits on the 2nd gen door, and they arent powered...
to have power mirrors you need a set of 2nd gen tow mirrors and a set of 3rd gen tow mirrors, and take the base from the 2nd gen and the mirror from the 3rd and put them together,... at least thats how i understand it!

I did it on my '99, bought both sets on Ebay and swapped bases, then sold the leftovers for a little extra cash.
I had almost all the functions working but the wire colors are different, you'll have to find somebody that will give you a diagram or experiment yourself.
My main concern was the heating capability, and taht was easy to connect.

I went with mopar manual towing mirrors. I love them. After a while you will be able to get within a 95% range when adjusting them after flipping up/down the first time. I went from the chrome power to the manual mopar towing and the looks alone are well worth it. I have some pics up and down in my gallery.
