want to change the fluid in my rears and am considering Amsoil,but do I have to use an additive in the posi rear if I do? I know many reg lubes are posi compatible.

 

I'm not familiar with amsoil products so if you use their products ask the salesman to make sure and use their additive. I always add the limited slip additive when changing oil in a limited slip axle and use limited slip oil GL5 rating. Always check compatibility of an additive before adding it to your oil. Many oils don't mix, especially synthetics and petrolium based additives. When in doubt, change it and start fresh. Good luck
