1996 2500 4.10 gears fuel plate to a #10 when i got the truck it was getting 15 all the time so i ground the fuel plate and it went up to 18 so i thought bigger is better so i took some more off the fuel plate and now im down to 11is there any thing i can do to get better milage i will be silding the plate back because the power difference doesnt compensate for the fuel difference

 

The plate won't make any difference in mileage if you don't use the extra power. The plate only comes into play when you floor it or under heavy load.

It's all in your foot.

If you can't resist the temptation to use the extra power use a less aggressive plate and slide it to the rear.

 

well i was getting 11mpg with the cruse set today i moved the fuel plate that i ground all the way back the AFC housing forward and turned the star wheel all the way in i must say i really can tell the difference except at wot but im now at 19mpg running 65 mph so im happy with that running 4.10 gears i dont think is to bad

 

i didnt mention that before but i could hit 1400 on my egts and 22psi boost no problem now its hard to hit 1100 and running 20 psi on boost which makes me feel alot better when working the truck

 

19 mpg with 4.10's is def something to hang onto
