My 94 auto 4x4 3.5 ratio gets a pretty consistent 17.5 mpg empty with a mix of intown, country roads, and freeway.

i'm getting 18 average. 4x4, 4:10's, stock. That's the thing about these engines, no two are alike. I had a 95, 4x4, 3:50's and got 23 mpg.

4x4 xcab 3500 and I get 16-17mpg no matter how I drive it or what I'm towing (so far).. oh yeah, I have 285-75-16 AT tires.

I wish it got in the 20's like the 2wd guys.

I don't think you'll be getting 16-17 with your wedge behind it. Probably not even if it's empty.

My latest trip towing I got 15 MPG towing my jeep (about 5K) going 70 MPH which with my gears is about 2050 RPM. In town I get crappy milage, a lot of short trips with the truck not warm and tons of stop and go. I get around 14.5 around town. I havent taken any unloaded interstate trips to see what my milage would be unloaded, hopefully better.

12 towing-28' Gooseneck doesn't seem to matter what is on it.
16 Combo in town or highway-Not corrected for my 285's
Running on the highway doesn't make it go up, but I do have 4.10's
I really hoped the timing, DDP2's, Tranny and turbo would boost it a little.
Made no difference, except for how good it runs.

Average 16 combo of town and highway, but usually towing trailer(usually on the heavy side) and never get lower than 12.

I feel sorry for the guys at work with the new Ford twin turbos, their onboard computer reads 6 mpg pulling a trailer and never got better than 12 on the highway.

I think im gonna keep this truck for a while.

recently when i did check my fuel mileage i got 16.60mpg's on the way home from my buddies house on cape cod which is 166miles away, and that was right after i installed my Ii dragon flow injectors which are 175hp 5x.016's and my intercooler was blown, and i have 4.10'sl, 285's and i was idling in traffic for 1hr and doing a little playing around with my new power. so having the boost leak, and the traffic i was pretty happy with my fuel economy. but with no boost leak and no traffic and me cruising at 55-60mph i would bet i could get close to 20mpg. with winter fuel too. but i don't calculate my fuel mileage very often because most of my driving is around town, and thats very spirited for me and there's many wide open throttle pulls in that in the summer anyways.

I posted I'm getting about 12mpg now, and got 18mpg when I first got it
This used K&N filter I put on shows why--

After putting on the new one, I expect my numbers will get a lot better!
(and my truck will be soooo much happier)

I have only had mine for a month and I have found that with cruise set at 65 I get 24. The worst tank I had was when I was working close to the house and never got up to highway speed. It was around 18. All in all I am pretty impressed with a truck this large getting that good of mileage.
